The treatment involves injecting filling substances in the periorbital area to erase wrinkles and to restore volume and smoothness lost by the passage of time or by disease.
The most common filler is hyaluronic acid, with biological origin. It stimulates the production of collagen and gives very good results for several months. The periocular filling is done in the doctor's office and requires no anesthesia.
BEFORE THE PROCEDURE
Patients should undergo an ophthalmic study to evaluate their case. If they habitually consume anticoagulant medication, they should tell their doctor to assess their temporary abandonment, because they may interfere with the operation.
AFTER THE PROCEDURE:
Patients should avoid sports or sunbathing for 24 hours after application of the filling. They should not use the sauna or get a facial massage.
The final results will be apparent from the following day.
